Zola Hashatsi: SK Khoza’s Not in Control
“Crazed Out” host Zola Hashatsi is pleading for his dear friend, actor SK Khoza, to reach out to him after the latter appeared in several viral videos earlier this week.
In the videos, Khoza – who is best known for playing Shaka in the popular local soapie, “The Queen” – is seen getting into heated confrontations with strangers, insulting and swearing at them.
One such clip sees the 35-year-old actor, bare-footed and wearing a bright orange jersey, being restrained by another man as he shouts obscenities at a liquor store security guard.
On Wednesday, 6 April, Hashatsi revealed on Instagram that he tried to call and message Khoza, to no avail.
Then, speaking to a local media outlet, he worriedly explained: “He’s a friend and fellow thespian … [my Instagram post was] just a wake-up call for people to be aware and to try to help because if anything happens to him – God forbid – we’ll see people coming through.
“He’s not in control of what’s happening to him. It’s just out of character. It’s not him. I’ve worked with him, so I know SK. That’s just not him … we can’t act like we’re not seeing this … we mustn’t wait for something drastic to happen.”
